It is very typical for a kabayan (Filipino) to invite even a stranger passing by to “come and eat” with them especially if the stranger happens to pass by while a group of kabayan is having their snack, more so, a meal.
Back in the Philippines, I only learned about the State of Kuwait through the Internet, books, and other reading materials. A few years back when I first set my foot in this oil-rich nation deep with tradition and culture, as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), I unknowingly became part of its expatriate community.
February 24th – The following two days (February 25th and 26th) Holiday will spell a big celebration here in the State of Kuwait. 25th February will be the 52nd Anniversary of the Independence Day from British Rule, while 26th February marks the Liberation of Kuwait from the 1991 Gulf invasion by Iraq.
An organization aiming to promote association among Filipinos here in the State of Kuwait, with a much wider scope, was established last quarter of 2012. It is known as the Concerned Filipino Alliance in Kuwait or CONFILAK.

Even before I started blogging in 2010, I was already a “surfer”. I love to surf the internet, that is. Expressing myself in written form, my thoughts, my wishes, my dreams, my frustrations, all of these I better put in memories.
I have always believed that affection, particularly love, must be given every day, even in the simplest gesture. This may be love for our family, for our friends. It doesn’t always have to be romantic love.
