Philippine Overseas Labor Office, Kuwait – Well – meaning British women shared their skills in arts and crafts with the women kabayans staying at the Philippine Embassy, awaiting legal documentation for their return to the Philippines.
A large number of our fellow kabayans, who are among the hundreds of distressed OFWs who used to work as housekeepers and are temporarily staying in the Philippine Embassy, have been taught how to crochet and knit. Given enough time, such knowledge of the craft will enable the kabayans to pursue a livelihood project that will be of significance and great help to uplift their lives.
“While it is good to see that fellow Filipinos help our kabayans, when other foreign ex-pats selflessly share their knowledge, time, and effort for the good of many, that becomes a symbolism of how man is sympathetic to the needs of others
