On the spur of the moment, the COVID-19 Pandemic strike the whole world. It affected every aspect in our daily lives leaving us confused, lost, distressed and depressed.
Being an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) demands a great deal of courage and dedication, as it entails making sacrifices in order to provide for the family’s needs. OFWs must deal with the drawbacks of living abroad, such as being distant from home, being separated from loved ones, and missing family celebrations and special days. Moreso, giving Filipinos the chance to work in other countries in the hopes of gaining financial security while still working for their families.
In this OFW FINANCE – Money News Update series, it will give you a regular dose of money news that can help you with your finances. This includes news from relevant government agencies that helps us with our finances such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and Overseas Filipino Bank. You may also read some professional financial advice that may help you in managing your personal finances and some investment opportunities. This series also promote financial literacy among OFWs.
