Philosophy in life:
If you’re not willing to risk it all, then you don’t want it bad enough. The risks we take, the choices we make. They make life worth living, anyway. Life may be so full of unexpected twists and turns, but it is unquestionably beautiful. And sometimes you gotta stop and remember that you’re not gonna live forever. Just stay true, follow your heart, and take the plunge.
Tell us something random about yourself. I am Leah. I’m a proud Ilongga. I’m the youngest and the only girl in the family. I love long walks and long talks. I enjoy watching animated movies, preferably produced by Disney or Dreamworks. I am a Mickey Mouse fan. I smile a lot. I laugh a lot. I talk a lot. ♥

ABOUT YOUR BLOG
1. How, when and why did you get into the blogging industry?
I started online blogging just last year – on August 4, 2010. So that would make my blog only a year old. I got interested in making a blog, mainly because I was curious. You see, I overheard my two friends talking about their blogs, and it got me thinking “”What is a blog? How do I make one?”.. Of course, I googled it and checked out some blogging platforms. Before the day ended, I wrote my first post. My blog is all about me – my ideas, my thoughts, my experiences. I’m not earning a single cent from it. I want to.. but maybe it’s not the perfect time right now. I’m still learning and working out the kinks in blogging. I will earn money from my blogs, but not today.. not yet, anyway. ☺
2. How did you come up with the name for it?
Oh, my blog has changed its name.. a couple of times already.☺ The very first name was “My Tasty Treasures”. It was a wrong move since my blog isn’t a food blog. People assumed that my blog was all about food, dishes, recipes, and the like. So after a few months, I changed it into “Leah’s Treasures”. And then, just last month, a good friend of mine gave me my very own domain so I changed it again into “I am Super Leah”. What’s the reason behind the name? Well.. it is quite catchy. And I’d like to think that I’m a super girl, in my own way. ☺
3. How long have you been here and what made you want to start?
As I’ve mentioned above, my blog is only a year old. It turned one last August 4, 2010. Well. I love to write in diaries. But it takes too much time to write my thoughts down the old-fashioned way.. which is, by pen and paper. I carry a small notebook with me, everywhere I go, just so I’d be able to jot something down when inspiration strikes. But I am much more comfortable typing words on a computer.
4. Do you blog for a job full-time? What else do you do aside from blogging?
I take care of a small family-owned business. And let’s just say that I’ve got a lot of free time. And therefore, I blog. Blogging is way better than watching TV all afternoon, anyway. I blog when I feel like I wanna share my thoughts with people. I don’t really push or force myself to write every day. I blog whenever inspiration hits me.
5. Did you choose to start blogging directly about your chosen niche or because you just saw a good way to make money from blogging?
The former. When I decided to make my personal blog, the thought of earning money from it didn’t cross my mind. Honest truth. (It was months later when I began thinking about earning some extra dough.) I made the blog because I just wanna write and share something with the online world. It was some sort of a personal journal.
6. How much time do you spend on work related to your blog(s) each week?
Hm. I’m always online, but I don’t blog every day. I blog when I feel like it. There’s no pressure. But I do visit my blog, share on social media, and do blog hops often.
7. What do you find to be your biggest struggle as a blogger?
The biggest struggle would be finding an answer to the question… “How honest can you get?” in blogging? When more and more people began to read my blog, I began to have this inner struggle. I began to have hesitations.. reservations. It was difficult for me.. to pour my heart out to some stranger who might judge me immediately. I began to ask myself.. “If I write and share this, what would they think of me? Will they love me more or will they hate me?”.
My followers, my readers.. these people are strangers. It may sound a bit offensive, but it is a fact. I have met some of them personally, but most of them are just faces with names. But I appreciate each and every one of them. My purpose in making this blog is to share a bit of myself with the online world.. but how far will I go? How much will I share? And then, after a little while, I just understood. I just gotta share whatever it is that is worth sharing. I have complete control over what I write, and I can choose what post to share or what shouldn’t be shared.
I don’t have to blog about my whole life. People don’t really need to know every little thing about me. But I still wanna write about.. those things that need not be shared. That’s why I have another blog on WordPress (which allows me to password-protect posts).
Also, I’ve realized that in owning a personal blog, I’d have to stop thinking about impressing people. I’d have to be honest and just write down what I feel.. because that’s what a personal blog’s all about. Honesty. You’ve got to write from the heart. People can relate to honest posts. People read honest posts.
8. How does blogging help you, in terms of life and career? How did you get to where you are now with your blog(s)? To what do you attribute your success? and what is the next goal you hope to achieve?
Blogging is therapy for me. When I feel sad or happy, I blog. Sadness shouldn’t be faced alone.. just like, happiness shouldn’t be celebrated alone. It feels great to get things off my chest. Also, it is because of blogging that I’ve met some of the most wonderful people on earth – my blogger friends. As for the next question, I don’t know what you mean by “success in blogging”, really.. it’s pretty vague. But meeting new faces and making new friends are some of the great bonuses in blogging. And my next goal would be to be able to attend a national Blogger event. I hope I can join in one.☺
9. Where do you see your blog(s) and yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I will still be blogging. I will still be sharing my laughter and my tears. I will still be this same chatty, cheery Leah.. But I hope that by that time, I’m already saving (and spending, of course. lol) money I’m earning on blogs.
10. One of the hardest things for beginner bloggers is getting traffic. What tips can you give bloggers to drive traffic to a new blog?
Write from the heart. Everything will just follow.
11. What advice would you give to new bloggers wanting to start blogging and help them start out on a path to success?
Blogging is one form of self-expression and interaction. If you wanna blog, go ahead. Express your opinion. Share your thoughts. Write from the heart. Blog and have fun. But you’ve got to keep a level head and never power-trip. Be responsible. Words, written or otherwise, are very powerful. They can be used to your advantage, or if you’re not careful, they can come back and bite you in the ass. Once you’ve written them down, there’s no easy way to take them all back. So just keep in mind.. Have fun but be responsible. As they say, the pen is mightier than the sword.
12. Describe your blog in 10 words.
I blog about my boring life. Sneak a quick peek.
