An organization aiming to promote association among Filipinos here in the State of Kuwait, with a much wider scope, was established last quarter of 2012. It is known as the Concerned Filipino Alliance in Kuwait or CONFILAK.
On February 9th, Labor Attache Hon. David Des Dicang, presided over the deliberation of the organization’s Constitution and By-Laws as well as the Oath taking of the duly elected Officers. The persons who were handed the responsibility of pushing forward the ideals of the group are;
President: Gracia Amor (Founder / President Filipino Bloggers in Kuwait), Vice-President: Ma. Christina Balangue, Secretary in General: Hengie Vargas Taton (President – Philippine Ambulance Nurses in Kuwait), Secretary for Financial Affairs: Elma Roxas Sebullin, Secretary for Judicial Affairs: Honesto Doctolero Jr. (Adviser of Kuwait Triskelion Alumni Organization), Secretary for Administrative Affairs: Chris Caburian, Secretary for Media Affairs: Arlin Bernardo, Spiritual Adviser: Pastor Gil Bantugan (Founding President Philippine Certified Public Accountant s-Kuwait), Adviser: Labor Attache David Des Dicang and CONFILAK Founder Eden Costinar.
As one officer said, “Being elected in office means dedication and hard work in order for us to execute our duties well and we should always keep in mind the welfare of others as our priority.”
