A successful show of Pinoy Talents

Battle of the Bands 2013 showcasing Pinoy talent hosted by Ms. Lyza Pajo and Mr. Bernie Minucan was not only a well-attended event but a resounding success as well. The Prayer, as an Invocation was led by Biritan Finalists.

PTQ Teen Talents like Aaron Jurell Suarez, Joyce Ann Bernal, Jennalynn Bernal, Ms. Lhea, Ms.Mary Angel, Ms. Yasmin, Ric Gloria, Jubelle Anneth Suarez, and Em-Em Gloria gave their own rendition of various genre songs.

Biritan Finalists Ms. Leriza Samaco Onza, Mr. Manny Penera, Mr. Gene Angelo Samudio, Mr. Almario Militar Lopez, Mr. Mansour Melad K. Amin, and Rap Infantry also performed to their hearts’ best while Selda 52c Band with Ms.Tanya Dawood gave life to 4 songs much to the delight of the audience.

Band Competitors performed 4 songs each with their members were as follows;

2. Abandoned Band – Gene Guevara – Vocals, Jhay Esteban – Drums, Regie Jovillanos – Bass, Roy Dapulong – Lead Guitarist- Dj Vhin

3. Blue Chords Band

4. Quartala Band – Ron Garovski – Guitar, Eric Diola – Bass,Greg Santos – Vocals,Walfrido Banez – Drums

5. Brown Rabbits Band – Jim – Vocals, Joseph – Guitar, Danny – Bass, Francis – Drums

6. Passenger’s Band – Mark Rocillo – Drums, Jeremiah Sumagpao – Vocals, Marquis Mender – Guitar, Kurt Ramirez– Vocals, Cedric June M. Palaban – Lead Guitarist, Samuel – Bass

7. Evolution 9 Band – Marvin De Leon – Vocals, Dave – Guitar, Manuel Saldivar – Bass, Roland – Drums

After the presentation, major awards were given to; 2nd runner-up Lilium Band

1st runner up Quartala Band and Champion- Abandoned Band; they were also awarded Best in Guitar, Bass, and Vocals. Best in drums – Quartala Band and Darling of the Crowd – Blue Chords Band.

Before the party hour, a solo guitar performance by Lamberto “Duds” Evangelista delighted the audience.
