To help the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in this trying time of pandemic crisis, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), together with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), offers financial assistance to the members of the OFW community in Kuwait who got infected and survived the COVID-19.
However, due to the sheer volume of applicants, the process of application is now online. Below is the step-by-step process of applying for financial assistance.
How to Register for Financial Assistance for COVID-19 OFW Survivor in Kuwait

- Click the link: COVID-19 Online Financial Assistance Application.
- Fill up the necessary information required, such as your personal information and contact details.
- Upload a clear copy of the following: (in jpeg or pdf format)

- Application Form
- Front Page of Passport showing the name and photo
- Front and Back Page of Civil ID

- Medical Report from the hospital showing that you were tested positive for COVID-19
- In filling up the form, carefully review all the details that you entered and ensure that you’ve uploaded the correct documents before clicking the “Next” and “Submit” buttons.
- If you are done, click the “Submit” button and wait for your application to be processed and validated.
- Once approved, they will contact you to inform you about your schedule- the date and time and the designated place to claim your financial assistance from POLO for COVID-19 OFW survivors.

Note:
- Those who already submitted their applications through the mail and have not been requested to submit additional requirements don’t have to apply again.
- Those who were asked to submit additional requirements shall upload their complete documents to the link given above.
Conclusion of DOLE-AKAP Cash Assistance for OFWs in Kuwait
The program initially launched mid-April last year and urged qualified overseas workers to apply online. Ten thousand beneficiaries were initially allowed to receive US 200 or KD 61.500 from the DOLE’s “Abot Kamay ang Pagtulong” (AKAP- Reach Out to Help) financial aid.
