In line with the response of the Kuwait Government to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has launched an online registration service for COVID-19 vaccination in the country. This, to help the residents save time and ensure their safety against the threat of coronavirus.
In a statement, health minister Al-Sabah shared that anyone who will get vaccinated will receive a digital certificate sent to their phones with the mention of the vaccine injected, its date, and a passport number in case they would need it for travel purposes.
Steps on How to Register for the Vaccination
Visit the Ministry of Health-Kuwait website.
Click the banner that says ‘COVID-19 Vaccine Pre-Registration’ as shown in the image below.
You will be redirected to the next page that contains the COVID-19 Registration Form.
Fill out all the required information like your:
a) Civil ID No. issued by Kuwait for Citizens and Residents
b) Civil ID Serial No. (can be found at the back of your Civil ID)
c) Passport No.
d) Active Mobile No.
d) Active Email ID
f) Educational Qualifications
g) Occupation
In the Medical History section, make sure to check the box(es) that apply to you.
If you have a severe allergic reaction, pregnant, or currently unwell due to infection, make sure to indicate it in the ‘Exclusion Criteria’ section.
Make sure to double-check that all the information provided is correct.
Once done, tick on the box that says ‘ I hereby declare that all the information registered by me ar correct’ as shown in the photo below.
Once you are sure that all the information stated is true and correct, click the ‘Submit’ button for further processing. You will receive a notification through text about the location and the date for your vaccination schedule.

- To ban international travel for citizens unless they have received both doses of the State of Kuwait’s recognized COVID-19 vaccine, exceptions are applied to the below:
A. Age groups that are exempt from receiving the vaccine
B. Citizens with certified reports from the Ministry of Health (MOH) stating that they are excused from being vaccinated due to health issues
C. Pregnant women with certified proof of pregnancy report from the Ministry of Health (MOH)

To take effect as of Sunday the 1st of August, 2021

- To allow fully vaccinated ex-pats entry into The State of Kuwait under the condition that the COVID-19 vaccine they received is recognized in the State of Kuwait as mentioned below:
Both doses of (Pfizer – AstraZeneca – Moderna) or 1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson-produced vaccine. This is to take effect as of the 1st of August 2021, under the condition of receiving a negative result on a COVID-19 PCR test done no more than 72hrs before the trip back, and a second PCR during the 7 day home quarantine that can be ended with the negative result of that second PCR.

- To allow vaccinated individuals, and those who have been exempt from the vaccine to enter the below:
- Dine-in areas at restaurants and cafes (pick up only for those who have not been vaccinated).
- Gyms
- Beauty Salons
- Larger malls of areas that exceed 6000 square meters
To take effect Sunday the 27th of June.

The possibility of using either the “Kuwait Mobile ID” or the “Immune” applications as proof of vaccination to those who have received the COVID-19 vaccination and those who have recovered from COVID-19 based on MOH conditions.

As the Ministry of Health intensifies its vaccination efforts, all pregnant and breastfeeding women are encouraged to register for the vaccine on the Ministry’s website.
