SSS Urges Delivery Riders to Seek Protection

In a forum held by SSS last October 18, 2021, with a theme, “Proteksyong SSS Para sa Delivery Riders,” the SSS highlighted the importance of the delivery riders and expressed its gratitude by reaching out to the sector.

Undeniably, the sector keeps on growing through the years, and the pandemic has also been a kickstart to its fastest and most extensive growth. With these, SSS is offering them the protection they need most, especially today that they are considered as one of our essential workers.

The SSS considers giving them solid protection, which they really need due to the high risks they are facing with their job. Being self-employed members of SSS, delivery riders are given the privilege to enjoy the benefits under the Social Security Program and the Employee Compensation Program. These benefits include sickness, maternity, retirement, disability, funeral, and death. Moreover, they can also avail different loans such as salary, calamity, and education.

Truly, the agency has been working double-time to reach out to all the sectors prone to danger and to those who are especially in need of social security. With all the problems that the country is facing, SSS promises to always be there as its members’ lifesaver.
