Strength and Perseverance of TSOK 2019-2021 Officers

The period of significant challenge and change that took place during 2019–2021 will be remembered by all. The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a complete disruption of all facets of life, education included. The TSOK Officers, particularly under the leadership of Mr. Abdurahman Abing as president, displayed extraordinary resilience, creativity, and unwavering commitment to the teaching profession in response to this unprecedented adversity, including:

Mr. Abing, TSOK’s president for two consecutive terms from 2019 to 2021, guided the TSOK with a determined focus on aiding educators and students during one of the most difficult periods in history. The organization not only survived the pandemic’s disruption but also thrived thanks to his leadership and the coordinated efforts of the TSOK officers.

 

Persevering Through the Pandemic

During the rapid spread of COVID-19, schools closed, and teachers had to quickly transition to remote learning. This change was especially hard in areas where not everyone had the technology and reliable internet. Even with these challenges, TSOK, under Mr. Abing’s dutiful guidance and leadership, responded quickly and determinedly.

The organization adapted to new ways of teaching, giving teachers the tools and training they needed for online teaching. The “Titser Laban sa Covid 19” project shows how they got ahead of the problem. They helped teachers learn the skills and get the resources they needed to teach remotely, so students could keep learning even when schools were closed.

One of the most admirable aspects of the TSOK Officer’s response to the pandemic was their unwavering dedication to promoting a sense of community among educators.
