PhilHealth’s Statement on the PCR Testing
This photo was taken from: CNN Philippines
Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) knows that Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is an important partner in the government’s aim to curb COVID-19 through serious targeted testing.
PhilHealth closely coordinates with PRC to clear out issues about their partnership so that the PRC can resume its operations in conducting RT-PCR tests for priory sectors that will be paid by PhilHealth.
As of September 2020, PhilHealth already paid the PRC a total of PhP1.6 billion for at least 433,263 tests. For the moment, PhilHealth requested that the specimens from affected sectors be submitted to other accredited testing laboratories to avail of PhilHealth benefits. You may see the complete list of accredited testing laboratories at https://www.philhealth.gov.ph/covid/TestLabs_08312020.pdf
