Are you feeling depressed about the COVID-19 situation? Is your mind tired of all the stress and anxieties brought by the pandemic? In this crisis, many people raised their awareness physically and mentally as they became more aware of the dangers of viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens. However, within this chaos lies an aspect in our life that we should hold on and develop as we face this global problem.
It is our SPIRITUAL ASPECT—the aspect where the responsibility of taking care of our soul lies. A healthy spiritual life will contribute significantly to every person, both physically and mentally. It will help us ease all our anxieties and worries about the future. It will boost our physical condition, knowing that we have someone great and almighty that we can rely on. It is the strength of our faith and personal connection with God.
Together with it is His words and works written within the Holy Bible. According to Billy Graham, the Bible is not an option. It is a necessity. Especially in this period of despair and fear, we need His words as food for our soul. Here are the following Bible verses that can help you face the threat and effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.”Matthew 6:34
“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.”Psalm 42:5
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”Psalm 23:1-6
“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.”2 Corinthians 4:8-9
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”Revelation 21:4
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”1 Peter 5:5-7
“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.”Psalm 118:6
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”Joshua 1:9
“Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”Matthew 10:29-31
“That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”1 Peter 1:7
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”1 Corinthians 10:13

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.”Jeremiah 29:10-12

Or will you flee three months before your foes while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days’ pestilence in your land? Now consider, and decide what answer I shall return to him who sent me.’ Then David said to Gad, ‘I am in great distress. Let us fall into the hand of the LORD, for his mercy is great; but let me not fall into the hand of man.’”Samuel 24:12-14
