The Philippine Bureau of Immigration has set new travel guidelines for those who wish to travel to the country amid the coronavirus pandemic. On Sunday, June 20, 2021, the bureau released and posted these guidelines on its Facebook page.
The following are allowed to travel to the Philippines as of June 15, 2021:
1 Filipino Citizens
2. Balikbayan (Under Republic Act 6768)
- Only nationals from non-visa required countries under Executive Order 408, Former Filipino or traveling with the Filipino/former Filipino spouse/parent
3. Foreign Nationals with valid or existing visas
- 9(a) visa holders are required an entry exemption document from the country’s foreign posts abroad
Except those coming, or with a travel history within the last 14 days, from countries not allowed to enter the Philippines.

Travelers from the following countries are temporarily NOT allowed to enter the Philippines
- India
- Pakistan
- Nepal
- Bangladesh
- Sri Lanka
- Oman
- United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Included in the temporary travel ban are those with travel history within 14 days preceding arrival in the Philippines.
Except for Filipinos who are part of the government or non-government repatriation efforts.
This will take effect until June 30, 2021

Requirements to be presented by Travelers upon Arrival
For Filipino Travelers
- Valid Philippine Passport
- Identification Certificate as proof of recognition as Filipino Citizen
- Citizenship Retention and Reacquisition Act of 2003 Certificate under Republic Act 9225
For Balikbayan Travelers (from non-visa required country under Executive Order 408)
- Filipino or former Filipino, and their spouse and children who are traveling with them, with proof of affiliation
For Foreign Nationals with valid and existing Visas
- Valid visa and ACR I-Card
- Those holding 9(a) visa need to present an entry exemption from the country’s foreign posts abroad

General Requirements:
- Must not come, or must have a travel history within the last 14 days, from countries not allowed entering the Philippines, unless Filipinos who are part of the government or non-government repatriation efforts
- Must present a confirmed booking for at least ten (10) days in an accredited quarantine hotel/facility, or seven (7) days for passengers who are fully vaccinated in the Philippines starting June 22, 2021 (except diplomats coming from covered countries)
