All Filipinos have regional characteristics they say, but there is always an exception to the rule. Here in Kuwait, I am very fortunate to meet generous Ilokana women. They have been going out of their way to help people who need assistance, regardless of nationality.
Ilokana Women’s Organization in Kuwait (IWOK) was official founded on January this year and their oath taking at the Philippine Embassy was conducted by Consul General Atty. Raul Dado on February. Key personalities of the organization are President – Rosita Ortiz Alsinan, Vice President – Mariam Alzankawi, Vice President – Leonida Castro, Secretary – Marjorette Nicolas, Treasurer – Elsa Tiqui, PRO – Charites Olla and Nadia Uplac, Sgt. at Arms – Rosemarie Wamilda and Vicky Alvaro, Adviser Farida Al Halimi.
IWOK continues to serve people in need and many projects will be actively done through their initiative, wise decisions and outstanding kindness. More power to all IWOK officers and members
(Special thanks to Ms. Farida Al Halimi and Ms. Mariam Alzankawi for their photos)
