For the past 17 years, Ms. Glenn Caduada Untal has called Kuwait her second home having married here and nurturing a family of her own. A native of Sto. Rosario, Tibiao, Antique, she first came to Kuwait in search of a better and more successful life.
Hard work, patience, determination and of course, God’s Divine Guidance all of these helped Ms. Glenn have a loving family life, simultaneously continuing to help her family and relatives back home in the Philippines and other charity works in her hometown.
She is part of Ilokana Women’s Organization in Kuwait (IWOK) and with them she is busy giving assistance to distressed OFWs at the Philippine Embassy in Hateen by way of feeding programs and other humanitarian activities.
Recently, Ms. Glenn learned of Jennalyn Vaporoso, a household service worker in Kuwait who met an unfortunate situation and is confined at the hospital. She didn’t have any visitors so Ms. Glenn and her children gave time for regular visits. Through her social media account, Ms. Glenn would document the progress of Jennalyn’s recovery, slowly it may seem but full of hope.
Ms. Glenn would also do volunteer work at the hospital while Jennalyn is asleep. When Jennalyn’s mother was granted visa to come here in Kuwait, even if the mother was already at the hospital to take care of Jennalyn, still, Ms. Glenn and her kids didn’t fail to visit.
Grateful for all the blessings she and her family continue to receive, this is the main reason why Ms. Glenn always tries to help others without expecting anything in return. This is her way of sharing her blessings.
In her own words about encouraging other people to start caring for others and do volunteer and charity work, “From before, I knew how it felt to have no one beside you in times of need, the feeling of hopelessness. This is exactly the reason why I want to help others. For those of you who can and are willing to do charity, please start now. Helping others make our mind, soul and body complete. We feel satisfaction and we do not expect anything in return”.
Ms. Glenn’s typical day is spent having quality time with her family. She is an Office Management graduate from International Institute of Computer Science and Administration for Private Training (ICSA Kuwait). From Diary ni Gracia, I wish Ms. Glenn Caduada Untal more blessings to come and more success in her life.
