SSS Kuwait: New Online Appointment System Launched for OFWs
The coronavirus outbreak continues to increase its cases in the country of Kuwait. It leads to the incomplete operations of most of the offices. Together with it is the Social Security System (SSS) in Kuwait. To continue their services for the Overseas Filipinos (OFs), they released another advisory pertaining to their new online appointment system.
The advisory affirmed that the services of the SSS would strictly be conducted by appointment. It is following the precautionary measures of the Ministry of Health of the State of Kuwait for public safety. Therefore, an online appointment system is provided to manage the applicants for their services. The directive will begin on June 28, 2020.

Online Services Offered by the Social Security System
Thanks to technology and digital innovation, members of the Social Security System in Kuwait can now access most of their needed services without visiting the office physically. The online platform allows the submission of requirements for sickness benefits, disability claims, retirement applications, and more.
Loan applications, including the Calamity Loan Assistance Program and Salary Loan, can be processed entirely online through the official SSS portal. This is especially helpful for Filipinos in Kuwait who might be restricted by lockdowns or health advisories.
Accessing the Online Appointment System
You can access the online appointment system through this link. https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/SSSKuwaitAppointmentSystem@sss.gov.ph/bookings/. Upon clicking the link, it will lead you to this webpage. You need to fill the following details before pressing the “Booking” button.

Community Support and Resources
The Filipino community in Kuwait continues to support one another by sharing verified news, offering tech help for registrations, and assisting less tech-savvy kababayans in accessing digital services. Community groups on Facebook, Viber, and WhatsApp often help answer basic questions about contributions, claims, and online bookings.
Joining these groups can be a good way to stay informed and avoid misinformation, especially for newly arrived OFWs or first-time Social Security System members abroad.
The implementation of this appointment-based system promotes orderly and secure transactions. Before, walk-ins could lead to overcrowding, long queues, and unnecessary exposure to health risks. Now, every member can ensure that their visit is scheduled and managed properly.
This system is also a response to the growing demand for better public service delivery in overseas offices. By taking advantage of online tools, the Social Security System improves its efficiency and responsiveness to member needs.
For the submission of sickness and disability benefit requirements, applicants may send the necessary documents to kuwait@sss.gov.ph.
Meanwhile, for the application of Calamity Loan Assistance, Salary Loan, Retirement Application, and Unemployment Benefit, members are encouraged to submit their applications through their My.SSS account. The platform is accessible at www.sss.gov.ph, and is open for both local and overseas members.
Avoiding Scams and Fixers
Members are reminded to stay vigilant against unofficial offers and individuals posing as representatives who offer shortcuts or assistance with applications for a fee. The Social Security System does not authorize third-party agents for processing services, and doing so may put your information and funds at risk.
For the submission of Sickness Benefit and Disability benefit, they may send the necessary details at the email provided by the SSS in Kuwait.
For the application of the Calamity Loan Assistance Program, Salary loan, Retirement Application, and Unemployment Benefit, they can submit through online means. Using your “My.SSS account”, you can submit your application in the Website through https://www.sss.gov.ph.
