St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus Parish, Salmiya is situated in the center of the Indian Community of Salmiya serving parishioners from Messila, Ras Salmiya, Salwa, Rumaithiya, Maidan Hawally, Sabah Al Salem, Mishref and Bayan.
This Lenten Season 2015, the parish is inviting the faithful to participate in the following church activities and abide by some important reminders.
1.Parish Office is from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm or by appointment. The office is closed on Fridays.
2.Parents with infants are requested to occupy only Room # 1 during the Mass.
3.If we are to bring our vehicles in going to Church, let us all be responsible in parking so others will not have a difficult time.
4.February 19, 2015, Thursday, there will be a community mass at 6:30 in the evening, for all widowed women and men, organized by the Family Cell and Living Hope. Please register at the Parish Office.
5.February 21, 2015, Saturday, there will be a meeting for the Altar servers from 9:30am – 11:30 am.
6.February 25 and 26, 2015, there will be a two day seminar for couples about marriage views of Pope Francis and the impact of social media on children. Early registration at the Resource Center will be very helpful.
7.In the observance of Lent, the Konkani community of our parish will initiate a clothes drive on February 25, 2015, to benefit the orphanages in India. We request for clean and not wear down clothes so the recipients will have long term use of your donation.
8.Forms for Catechism Class 1 are now available at the Resource Center. Interested parents can submit the forms and supporting documents any Friday at the IEAS Fee Counter between 10 and 11am only.
9.The Kuwait National Service Team (KNST) is organizing a “Life in the Spirit” Seminar and “Growth Seminar” for the parishioners of St. Therese of the Child Jesus this February. For more details, kindly check the notice board.
10.Marriage preparation course will be held in the Holy Family Cathedral on March 13 and March 20, 2015, both Fridays.
