Shopping Tips for the Busy Workaholics
Every OFWs and financial advocates like me knows how hard it is to find some time to buy stuff that we need or want. Same goes for shopping – because we can all agree to the fact that shopping for you and your loved ones can’t be done in an hour!
Some of us have to render overtime work, while the others don’t even have a day off, which is why we tend to rely on other people to buy us things whenever we couldn’t do it on our own. However, nothing beats doing the shopping part on your own. It is much more fulfilling to know that you can afford to buy your loved ones the things they like.
So, instead of asking someone else to do it for you, here are some useful tips you can do to save time while shopping.
- Try online shopping
Nowadays, the internet can give you almost everything that you need. Be it food, clothes, toys, accessories, and even books! There are a lot of websites which sell various gift items that you can send to the recipient directly.
If you are worried about online scams, you can always search the internet for other websites and check if they are legitimate through reading blog reviews and more. Plus, a lot of online stores offer huge discounts which can also be helpful if you will buy lots of things. It is very convenient that you can shop online during your spare time without having to go outside of your house!
This also works during peak seasons whenever the malls are filled with other people who also want to buy gifts. No need to wait in long lines and be stuck in traffic!
2. Buy them gift cards instead or vouchers
This tip works well if you aren’t sure what to give as a gift. By giving them gift cards, you can be assured that they can use it to buy something that they really want in a certain store. They’ll definitely love it!
3. Make a list beforehand (especially they’re likes and sizes)
If you already know what to buy, you won’t have to spend hours roaming around the aisles of the mall just to find the perfect gift. It will definitely save you time and you won’t have to overspend in case you see a better gift to buy!
4. Buy gifts in bulk (especially during sale season or year-end)
There are certain stores that sell bags, wallets, and more than you can have customized. Usually, stores like these offer discounts when you buy in bulk, while some of them offer a free item. Having the gifts customized such as putting their names on it will be more appreciated. Orders also do come in bulk size.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter where you bought it and how much it costs. After all, the old saying that “It’s the thought that counts,” never dies! and never will.
