I am an OFW blogger here in Kuwait and whatever life throws at me, I hold on to my Faith, work hard for my family, try to grow as an individual and within the Filipino community as well.
At our most recent social visit to one of my mothers here in Kuwait, Ms. Freda Editha O. Contreras, it was truly inspiring for me to see a teenage young lady enthusiastic about blogging and wanting to learn more from us – bloggers not her age, so to speak.
It has always been my hope to somehow teach the fundamentals of blogging but have not yet found the right time. After The Global Filipino Bloggers Slam book – OFW Edition book launch and signing event last August 21st at the Philippine Embassy in Faiha, my ardent wish to be a “teacher” was once again ignited.
I believe that there are other ways to be a “teacher” without needing to go to class on weekdays or writing a lesson plan. My hopeful project in the Philippines is to be able to give free blogging books – The Global Filipino Bloggers Slam book – OFW edition as a reference book on writing / blogging, to the public high school in my hometown, for a start.
It is my fervent hope too that all the bloggers slam book contributors and friends will welcome this hopeful project I have in mind.
