My high school years was a gallery of inspirational women like Aung San Suu Kyi (Burmese pro-democracy advocate), Madeleine Albright (first woman US Secretary of State), Jung Chang (autobiographer), Sonia Maino Gandhi (Italian-born daughter-in-law of Indira Gandhi), Donatella Versace (of the fashion empire), Shania Twain (popular country singer), Martina Navratilova (best tennis player of all time) and of course, Miriam Defensor Santiago. No further introduction needed as to who she is.
Never have I seen a Filipino woman as confident, intelligent, stern, human and funny as she is. I believe that there is no perfect person but she definitely knew what she was saying as an advocate, a politician, a Filipino woman.
In all honesty I could say that she was the best president the Philippines never had. The legacy she has left behind will remember her works and her name for several and several generations to come.
