In addition to the recent mobile app upgrade, the Social Security System is also ramping up its digitalization efforts to make services even more accessible to its members and employers. The pandemic has shown the need for digital solutions, especially with the need for physical distancing and health protocols. To cater to this demand, the agency has been expanding its online services, allowing members to complete more transactions without needing to visit a physical office.
The drive for digitalization is part of a broader initiative to make SSS services available online, so members can easily manage their accounts, track contributions, and even apply for benefits from the comfort of their homes. SSS President and CEO, Aurora C. Ignacio, emphasized that this move is not just about convenience but about ensuring that members can continue to access essential services, even during uncertain times.
The SSS has been encouraging all members to familiarize themselves with these new online features by attending webinars and staying updated through the agency’s social media platforms. These efforts are designed to enhance the user experience and ensure members are equipped to handle their accounts digitally.
