In response to the need for charitable works especially for OFWs detained in different jails here in Kuwait, the Ilokana Women’s Organization in Kuwait (IWOK) and Filipino Association for Music and Arts (FAMA), cooperated among themselves in order to extend assistance for charity.

The women of both organizations donated blankets that will definitely be of great help to OFWs serving time in detention. Temperatures around Kuwait still remain low and keeping warm and comfortable is a must for everyone.

Whenever I get invited to voluntary efforts like this one, I feel blessed knowing that in a way, I am able to share what I can with fellow OFWs experiencing unfortunate circumstances. I try to reach out to them in the simplest way I could – community writing. Thank you to IWOK and FAMA for the opportunity.
