Being an honorary member of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) Kuwait Chapter, I try to arrange my schedule so I may be the Emcee of their event. And what made me more excited was, their Second Technical Seminars and First Toastmaster and Friends Meeting venue is Satchi Caesar Restaurant in Fahaheel. I so love Japanese food!
But before I could feast my taste buds with Satchi’s menu, I have to do well with my task for the day as an OFW blogger. PSME Kuwait, like any other Filipino organizations here in Kuwait start with registration, as Engr. Mervin Villanueva, RME / Chapter Secretary and Engr. Alfred Abram Bayona, RME / Chief Treasurer took charge of the task.
Engr. Eddie Son Padilla, RME and active member of the organization rendered the Lupang Hinirang and afterwards, Engr. Leandro Serafin, RME / Treasurer led the Prayer. Welcome Address by Chapter President Engr. Jonathan M. Po, RME.
Two important seminars were conducted namely; Fire Fighting Systems Design for Industrial and Commercial Application by Engr. Benito B. Bulawan, RME / Executive Vice President and Solar Panel System Design and Calculation by Engr. Jonathan M. Po / Chapter President.
Other first part of the program participants were; Engr. Mohamad C. Montila, RME / Assistant Secretary, Engr. Algers Bringuez, RME / Chairman – SPLBE, Engr. Eddie Son Padilla, RME / Assistant Treasurer.
The second part of the event was the First Meeting of Toastmaster and Friends under which, Sir Don Prades, DTM / Founder of Active Minds Toastmaster Club. Engr. Gene A. Rivera, PME / VP for Education supervised the first activities of the club. The PSME Financial Report was presented by Engr. Alfred Abram B. Bayona, RME / Chapter Treasurer.
After the plaques of appreciation and certificates were handed out, Engr. Abdullah Guinda, IPP / Adviser said his Closing Remarks. Finally, my duty for the day has been accomplished. Now, I can enjoy my Japanese food.
