How to use CamScanner to Scan Your Documents

In this tutorial, I will guide you on how to scan documents using CamScanner. This app is a popular mobile application designed for scanning files using your smartphone or tablet’s camera. It allows users to quickly capture, enhance, store, and share files in various formats, such as PDF or image files. The app essentially turns your device into a portable scanner, eliminating the need for traditional, bulky scanning equipment.

Step 1: Download and Install

  1. Go to your device’s app store (Google Play Store for Android or App Store for iOS).
  2. Search for “CamScanner” and download the app.
  3. Once downloaded, open the app and follow the setup instructions to create an account, if required.

Step 2: Scan a Document

  1. Open the app.
  2. Place the file you want to scan on a flat surface with good lighting.
  3. Tap on the camera icon or the “+” button to start scanning.
  4. Align the files within the camera frame. Make sure all edges of the file are visible.

Step 3: Adjust Scan Settings (Optional)

  1. Before capturing, you can adjust various settings like brightness, contrast, and color mode.
  2. Tap on the settings icon (which usually looks like a gear or slider) to access these options.
  3. Experiment with the settings to achieve the best scan quality for your document.

Step 4: Capture the Document

  1. Once you’re satisfied with the document’s position and settings, tap the capture button (usually a large round button).
  2. Hold your device steady as the app captures the document. You may need to wait a moment for the app to process the scan.

Step 5: Review and Edit

  1. After capturing, review the scan to ensure it’s clear and complete.
If necessary, you can crop the scan to remove any excess background or unwanted parts.
  2. Tap on the edit icon (which usually looks like a pencil or scissors) to access editing tools.

Step 6: Save or Share the File

  1. Once you’re happy with the scan, tap the save or share button.
  2. You can save the scan to your device’s gallery or cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.
  3. Alternatively, you can share the scan directly from the app via email, messaging apps, or social media platforms.

Step 7: Organize Your Scans (Optional)

CamScanner allows you to create folders to organize your scans.
You can create folders based on categories like work, personal, or receipts.
To create a folder, tap on the folder icon and follow the prompts to name and save the folder.
