This grand event brought together the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) community in a spectacular showcase of beauty, talent, and cultural pride. As one of the most awaited celebrations of the year, AKO OFW Mutya 2025 was more than just a pageant—it was a tribute to the resilience, grace, and achievements of Filipinas abroad.
With doors opening at 11:00 AM and an energetic lineup of activities, the audience eagerly awaited the grand entrance of 15 exceptional candidates vying for the coveted title. Hosted by the dynamic duo DJ Lakwatcha and DJ Rich, the coronation day was filled with excitement, entertainment, and moments of inspiration.
A Grand Opening Fit for Queens
The program began with solemn prayers—both Christian and Muslim—emphasizing unity and faith among the Filipino community. Following this, the Philippine and Kuwait national anthems were played, symbolizing the strong ties between the two nations. The ceremony officially commenced with warm opening remarks from Mr. Romano Roman, Chairman of Ako OFW Kuwait, and a heartfelt welcome address from Mrs. Girlie Desuyo, President of Ako OFW Hawally Chapter.
Adding prestige to the event, His Excellency Jose A. Cabrera III, Ambassador to Kuwait, graced the occasion with his inspiring message, highlighting the importance of community, empowerment, and cultural heritage among Filipinos overseas. The introduction of the AKO OFW Hawally Chapter officers set the stage for a celebration of leadership and unity within the OFW community.
Showcasing Beauty, Talent, and Culture
The audience was treated to breathtaking performances and inspiring presentations throughout the program. The much-awaited parade of the 15 Mutya 2025 candidates was a dazzling display of elegance and confidence, with each contestant proudly representing the grace and resilience of Filipinas in Kuwait. Their introduction was accompanied by the song “Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas,” reinforcing the love and pride for Filipino heritage.
The competition segments highlighted the versatility and talents of the candidates:
- Sportswear Competition: A dynamic segment showcasing the confidence and fitness of the contestants.
- Gown Competition: A breathtaking display of sophistication and glamour, where the candidates wore stunning evening gowns that reflected their individuality and poise.

As the competition intensified, the panel of judges narrowed the contestants down to the Top 8 finalists, followed by a rigorous Question & Answer round. After another elimination, the Top 5 candidates emerged, each answering thought-provoking questions that showcased their intelligence, wit, and advocacy.
Finally, the most awaited moment arrived—the announcement of the winners:
- 2nd Runner-Up – A deserving finalist who showcased elegance and confidence throughout the competition.
- 1st Runner-Up – A strong contender who demonstrated beauty, intelligence, and grace.
- Grand Winner: AKO OFW Mutya 2025 – The crowning of the night’s ultimate queen, embodying the spirit of empowerment, beauty, and resilience of Filipinas abroad.
