Day 1 (January 26, 2023): Ronniely embarks on her journey as an aspiring professional teacher, fueled by the necessity of taking the LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers) to teach in Philippine public schools. She enthusiastically discovers the upcoming SPLE (Special Professional Licensure Examination) for OFWs in the Middle East posted on the PRC’s Facebook page. Without hesitation, she applies online at www.prc.gov.ph, creating her LERIS account, setting appointments, and making the necessary payment.
Day 2 (January 31, 2023): Driven by her career aspirations, she diligently gathers and scans the required documents: her passport, diploma, transcript of records, passport-sized ID picture with a name tag, and birth certificate. Miss Nova F. Fructuoso, the President of the Philippine Professional Organization in Kuwait, guides her through this crucial step.
Day 3 (February 1, 2023): She takes a significant step forward, officially becoming a member of TSOK (Teachers Specialists Organization in Kuwait). The cost of membership and incidental fees is a worthwhile investment for the support and camaraderie she gains.
Day 4 (February 9, 2023): A moment of joy and anticipation washes over her as she finds her name listed as one of the “SPLE 2023 Examinees.” Now, she eagerly awaits her Notice of Admission (NOA) from the PRC.
Day 5 (February 14, 2023): As a dedicated household worker pursuing her SPLE dream, she navigates the challenge of securing permission letters from her employer, which is essential for obtaining her passport for the examination.
Day 6 (March 14, 2023): A significant milestone is reached as she receives her NOA, signifying her approval for the board exam. This marks the beginning of her intense self-review phase.
Day 7 (April 13, 2023): Recognizing the critical 60-day review period ahead, she invests in online drills conducted by Sir Melvin Buracho on Facebook, paying 1,150 pesos for a 7-day program. Although her work keeps her from attending the live sessions, she’s grateful for the recorded drills, which prove invaluable in her preparation.
Day 8 (April 20, 2023): She prepares to visit the Philippine Embassy, a pivotal step for document validation by PRC personnel. Her gratitude is boundless for the smooth evaluation process.
Day 9 (April 21, 2023): With the exam date fast approaching, she ensures that all materials are meticulously organized and ready.
Day 10 (April 22, 2023): The long-awaited exam day arrives. Her heart races as she awakens at 4 AM with her NOA, pens, pencils, and an envelope containing essential materials. The exam proves challenging, but her faith remains unshaken.
Day 11 (May 19, 2023): The day she’s eagerly awaited dawns. Excitement and nervousness fill her as she anticipates the SPLE results. Messages of congratulations flood her notifications, and she’s overwhelmed to discover not only her passing but her top-notch ranking. This unexpected achievement reinforces her belief in the mantra, “Nothing is impossible with God.”
Day 12 (August 11, 2023): She marks a significant milestone by participating in the virtual oath-taking ceremony, cementing her status as a licensed professional teacher. Plans for a future face-to-face oath-taking event and her application to the SPIMS program outline her continued pursuit of her dream—to return to the Philippines as a professional teacher and serve her community.
