How do you feel about receiving the news that you passed the board exam?

She expressed being on cloud nine and overwhelmed with mixed emotions upon receiving the news of passing the board exam.

Have you received such recognition before? Please give details.

She confirmed that she hasn’t received such recognition before.

What is your job here in Kuwait? How long have you been OFW?

She works as a Gymnastics Coach at Wiggle Kids Club in Kuwait and has been an OFW for approximately 4 years.

Who do you attribute your success to?

She attributes her success to her daughter and family, emphasizing that she is a solo parent.

Who has inspired you to take up SPLE?

Her daughter and family inspired her to pursue the SPLE.

What were the reactions of your family to this board’s passing?

The reactions of her family were emotional, with even her 3-year-old daughter shedding tears of joy.

To what extent was TSOK helpful in your success story?

TSOK played a crucial and hands-on role in her success, providing helpful instructions throughout her journey.

What is your plan for the future or your dream after passing this exam?

Her plan for the future involves migrating to another country for the betterment of her daughter’s future.

Is this your first licensure exam? Do you plan on taking other exams, and what would it be?

This was her first licensure exam, and she plans to take the IELTS exam for Skilled Workers to become a permanent resident.

What message would you like to give to the upcoming board exam taker?

Do not lose hope. Pray, have hope, and don’t worry because God will take care of the rest. Give your best in reviewing and studying to achieve your goals.

How did you know about the SPLE?

She learned about the SPLE from her coworker.

When did you decide to apply: after graduation or after finding a job? Why?

She decided to apply after graduation, starting in 2015.

What did you expect from the SPLE regarding the content of the exam? How different is it from college entrance exams?

She found the SPLE to be generally challenging, requiring endurance under pressure, stress, and multitasking daily.

What questions were easy to answer (e.g., solving, logical reasoning, abstract reasoning)?

General education questions were generally easier for her, while professional questions were a bit tricky, and majorship questions were quite basic.

Did you attend a review center? Which review center? (a.) If yes, how did it affect your preparation for the SPLE? (b.) If not, how did you prepare for the exam in terms of resources and review materials?  

Yes, she attended a review center before the pandemic, and she also studied online with Sir Melvin and lightly used CBRC. She dedicated a lot of time to studying, even during work.

How many of the things you reviewed appeared in the exam?

Approximately 70 percent of what she reviewed appeared in the exam.

How many weeks or months did you prepare for the exam?

She has been preparing since 2015.

How much did preparing for the exam cost you? Is it worth it?

The cost of preparing for the exam, including review fees, purchasing books, borrowing books, and online resources, was worth it.

Do you have a daily study routine? (a.) If yes, what is your daily routine, especially the specific time you study? (b.) If not, how did you manage your time, especially for reviewing?  

She had a daily study routine, dedicating 2-3 hours for review every night and listening to online reviews during work.

How did you balance your work and review? How did you manage your time?

Balancing work and review was all about prioritization for her.

How did the SPLE affect your time with family and work?

The SPLE did not significantly affect her time with family and work due to their support and her effective time management.

Did you have any strategies in studying for the exam that helped you understand your notes better?

Her strategies included taking notes, frequent online reviews, remembering important details, and improving comprehension.

What difficulties did you face in preparing for the exam? How did you better remember complex terms and lessons? Did you improve your memory in any way?

She faced difficulties with stress and pressure but improved her memory by ensuring better sleep, a healthy diet, and regular rest.

How stressed were you in preparing for the exam? How did you manage your stress?

She experienced a lot of stress but managed it through prayer and personal time.

Have you procrastinated on your review? How did you manage procrastination? How did you motivate yourself?

She faced procrastination at times but motivated herself with coffee, personal time, relaxing, and deep breathing.

How important is preparing for the SPLE (or other exams)? Can you say that you are well prepared? How so?

Preparing for the SPLE is vital, and she believes she was well-prepared, dedicating 2-3 hours daily for review and listening to reviews during work.

How did you act during the exam? What were your thoughts during the exam?

During the exam, she maintained a positive mindset, managed her time, stayed relaxed, and focused.

Where did you gain the strength that helped you pass the exam?

She gained strength from her daughter, family, and self-motivation, including positive affirmations in each questionnaire page.

Did you search for and use guides and tips in your preparation? How effective were they?

Yes, she used advanced self-study and time management as essential guides.

How did passing the exam benefit you in terms of your work, your life, your family, and yourself?

It benefited every aspect of my life.
